They'll be in Cincy (about an hour and a half south of here) on 12/9, but our church is electing elders that night . . . so I'd better be at church (especially since I'm one of the candidates).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14199749.post-48055236674678239252007-12-02T02:26:00.000-05:002007-12-02T02:26:00.000-05:00Well said...this is one of mine and Daniel's favor...Well said...this is one of mine and Daniel's favorite albums and we do listen to it throughout the year, not just at Christmas. Did you know there is a new children's book out based on the Genealogy song? I think it is called Matthew's Begats...not sure. As you said each song is so powerful! I advertise this to everyone I know as well! "Behold the Lamb of God" is my favorite song.

ChristyDaniel and Christy Davishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05759750028779928515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14199749.post-11121254618615205952007-11-24T10:01:00.000-05:002007-11-24T10:01:00.000-05:00I will be singing "Labor of Love" this Advent seas...I will be singing "Labor of Love" this Advent season at my own church this year. I have this CD on my very short christmas list this year, so hopefully I will have a copy soon.

Thanks for introducing me to this album and especially this song. I have a tendancy to cry (no joke) every time I get to the "but the baby in her womb, was the maker of the moon, was the author of the faith that can make the mountains move" lines. I am actually getting teary thinking about it now, ok, now i'm just crying crying...shoot. It's just an awesome and God exalting thought. I know it in my head theologically always, but hearing it set skillfully to music at the height of that phrase melodically and to feel the build up (affectually) and then to think about the great truth of Christ's complete condescention and humbling of himself, just blows me away. Every time. The truth of Christmas never gets old. Good art rarely does either. Thanks for exposing us to great truth and art!

RonRonKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17297654202504994941noreply@blogger.com
